Sunset In The City

As we took the moment 

To watch before our very own eyes 

The ultimate art in the sky 

A canvas of crimson red 

And brilliant oranges 

With dashes of colors 

Splashed across the horizon 

As the sun rose to its peak 

Imagining it must have known 

We were watching 

It put on a magnificent show 

Just for us 

We sat absorbed in its beauty

As the sun made its finale,stage left 

Slowly yet precisely 

Magnificently exited into nothingness 

Sunset behind the mountains.
